Wetzel finishes season at Swarthmore Last Chance Meet

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Gallaudet University freshman Hannah Wetzel (Fremont, Calif.) saw her debut season on the Bison women's track and field team come to a close here Monday at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet.

Wetzel competed in two events during the meet. She finished fifth in the high jump as she cleared 1.48 meters. Elizabethtown's Kelli Garriott had the top mark of 1.58 meters in the high jump.

Over in the triple jump, Wetzel leaped 10.13 meters on her second of three jumps to place 10th overall. Alexa Wandy, an unattached jumper, posted the top mark of 12.36 meters followed by Penn St.-Harrisburg's Sarah Lehman in second place (11.28 meters).

Wetzel wraps up her standout rookie campaign with two school outdoor records (high jump and triple jump) and two school indoor records (high jump and long jump).

This concludes the 2019 Gallaudet women's track and field season.
