WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Gallaudet University Athletics Department is excited to announce its plans for a 50th year celebration for the swimming program. There will be a dinner held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. in the Ole Jim, on the second floor. The next day the Bison host Hood College at the Field House in the final home meet of the season at 1 p.m. as Gallaudet will pay tribute to its seniors.
The GU swimming program hopes former alumni and Bison swimmers can make the trek to Washington, D.C., for the weekend, which will mark a special moment in the program's history. The current 2009-10 swimming team will be present at the dinner to discuss its season and the upcoming Capital Athletic Conference championships.
"This is a tremendous opportunity to honor past, present and future Gallaudet swimmers with a good time," said Gallaudet coach Bill Snape, now in his sixth year.
The dinner will include food and drink. The cost of the dinner is $20. Tickets can be purchased by filling out the form below and mailing it or faxing it to the GU Athletics Department - Attention Swimming.
