Mallach makes second appearance on All-NEAC women's soccer team

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2018 Women's Soccer All-Conference selections and Gallaudet University senior forward Brittany Mallach (Milton, Ontario) were selected to the second team. This is Mallach's second year in a row on the all-conference team, she made the third team last season.

Mallach was recently named NEAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 29) after she had a career game with five goals and two assists against Trinity Washington University. Mallach ranks 16th in Division III for shots on goal per game (3.25). In the conference rankings, she is fifth in points (33), assists (seven), shots (73) and sixth in goals (13) and eighth in game-winning goals (two) in 16 starts. She concludes her career as the all-time leading scorer in Gallaudet women's soccer history and re-wrote the record book with 51 goals, 12 assists, 114 points, 211 shots, 156 shots on goal, nine game-winning goals in 67 games (62 starts).

Penn St.-Berks senior forward Caitlin Golden was named NEAC Player of the Year for a second straight year after she scored 35 goals, eight assists and 78 points. Keuka College took the other three individual honors as Renee Vito was named NEAC Defensive Player of the Year, goalie Jessica Pegg was selected as NEAC Rookie of the Year and head coach Jessica Shufelt was NEAC Coach of the Year after she led the Wolves to their first regular-season title since 2008 with a program-record 10 conference wins and 12 overall wins, tied for fourth-most in program history.

GU HONORS
This is Gallaudet's eighth All-NEAC honor since the school joined the conference in 2010. Mallach joins Kara Gulvas as the only two-time All-NEAC selections in program history.
