GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its conference student-athlete of the week awards for the week of Dec. 10 and Gallaudet University senior Hannah Neild (Litchfield, N.H.) was selected as the NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week.
Neild tallied 87 points, 28 rebounds, 14 steals, 12 assists and four blocks in three games last week. The Bison senior guard/forward averaged 29 points per game in a week that included 27 points in a conference win at Lancaster Bible College and a season-high 35 points in a loss at St. Mary's College of Maryland. During Gallaudet's 2-1 week, Neild notched two double-doubles, averaged 9.3 rebounds per game, recorded a 58.5 field-goal percentage, shot 56.3 percent from beyond the arc and went 16-for-17 from the free throw line.
This is Gallaudet's second NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week honor this season and Neild's sixth career NEAC award.
Gallaudet (5-4) will host The Catholic University of America (4-4) on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 4 p.m. in the Field House.
