GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) released its 2019 All-Conference Swimming and Diving teams and Gallaudet University earned nine spots, which included four relay events. Four different Bison men's swimmers earned all-conference honors including 2018-19 Men's Swimming and Diving Swimmer of the Year

A swimmer or diver needs to place first, second, or third in an event at the NEAC Championships to earn all-conference status. The 2019 swimming and diving championships were held Feb. 15-17 and hosted by Cazenovia College. Gallaudet finished in third place with 244 points.

Sophomore Ben Sealts (Ottawa, Ohio) repeated as NEAC Men's Swimmer of the Year as he shared the award with SUNY Cobleskill's Dan Mullen. This is the second year in a row these two swimmers have shared a NEAC honor as the pair were named NEAC Co-Rookie of the Year last season.

Sealts won his three individual events (100- and 200-yard butterfly, 200-yard IM) he was entered in and set one NEAC record in the process. He was also a member of Gallaudet's second-place 400-yard medley relay team along with the 200-yard freestyle relay (third place), 200-yard medley relay (third place) and 400-yard freestyle (third place) teams.

This is the fifth time a Gallaudet men's swimmer has earned NEAC Men's Swimmer of the Year awards. The other GU honorees include; Brian Bennett (2011, '12), Jonathan Tikhonoff (2017) and Sealts (2018, '19).

Sealts was joined on the four Gallaudet relay teams by freshman Nick Hohrman (Fergus Falls, Minn.) and sophomores Xiangming Liu (Dandong, China) and Abe Polanco (Devine, Texas).

Hohrman earned two additional All-NEAC third team honors in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events.

The Fighting Tigers from SUNY Cobleskill won a third straight championship as they finished with 358 team points followed by Wells (354), Gallaudet (244) and Cazenovia (55).

SUNY Cobleskill's Zac Boekeloo was named 2018-19 NEAC Rookie of the Year while Fighting Tigers head coach Jamie Hotaling was picked 2018-19 NEAC Men's Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year.
