WASHINGTON - Gallaudet University, the defending Helmet Bowl national champions, are one of 16 teams left standing in Helmet Bowl II presented by Helmet Tracker. The Bison are the No. 3 seed in the East Region and are going up against No. 2 seed Lafayette College in the third round. The winner will advance to the quarterfinal round of the national tournament to find the best football helmet in the country.

Fans are encouraged to use all of their devices and browsers to vote, no need to login, until the polls close on Monday, Dec. 17, at 4 p.m. (EST).
Gallaudet has combined forces with Howard Payne University the No. 8 seed in the South Region and a fellow NCAA Division III program. Fans of both programs are encouraged to vote for Gallaudet and Howard Payne this week. The Yellow Jackets are up against Tulsa University the No. 4 seed in the South Region. The only way Gallaudet and Howard Payne would face each other would be in the final.
Gallaudet's helmet won its conference (Eastern Collegiate Football Conference) and was seeded third in the East Region. In the first round, GU dispatched No. 14 seed Alvernia (51 percent to 49 percent) in a rematch of the 2018 season-opener between the two schools. In the second round, Gallaudet came back from being down 44 percent to 56 percent to beat No. 12 seed Saint Augustine (51 percent to 49 percent).
